The Shallotte River and Shallotte Inlet are known for harvests of oysters and clams as well as for
catches of Shrimp, Red Fish (Spot Tail, Channel Bass, Puppy Drum, Red Drum), Bluefish, Spots, and the
always sought after big Flounder.
In addition to these catches, the Shallotte Inlet's near shore area off the Holden and Ocean Isle
Beaches offers catches of both King and Spanish Mackerels and Black Sea Bass, just to name a few of the sought
after species.
Of course, you can always go after your offshore species of Yellowfin and Blackfin Tunas,
Sailfish, Wahoo and Dolphin or fish off the bottom for a large variety of Groupers and Snappers.
